Traditional upholstery

We offer tailor-made courses in traditional upholstery.

These are taught by Geraldine Gunner, who has an HND with distinction in Traditional Upholstery and has been teaching for twenty years.

Weekend and day courses are available in the Lincoln area.

All courses are run throughout the year and can be held at the hotel of your choice. Accommodation can be sourced for you, either at one of the hotels or in bed & breakfasts.

Weekend courses
Weekend taster workshops at Petwood Hotel Hotel or the Wellhead Upholstery workshop, including traditional upholstery, sewing basics, re-caning and French polishing.

Professional
We offer two day courses with one-to-one tuition, perfectly suited for enthusiast or as a good grounding for people wishing to eventually pursue a career in upholstery. We also offer longer options of an all day class held every Tuesday at Dunston Village Hall, supplemented by weekend courses held at Branston Hall Hotel, perfect for those wishing to start their own upholstery business.

Please contact for current prices, each course varies depending on venue and if accomodation is required or not to include accommodation for one night and meals. Family or friends who do not wish to participate in the courses are always welcome at an extra cost please enquire about costs. There is plenty to do in the Lincoln area, please ask for details.
